"International Award winning Art Clay Silver Instructor Ms.Shruti Dev will be conducting workshops on 27th ,28th and 29th May,2011  introducing making fine silver jewelry with Art Clay Silver on at Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Bajaj Bhawan, 226 Nariman Point, Mumbai.

The details for the workshops on 11th  Aug,2011( Thursday) are as follows:
Introduction to Art Clay Silver
Time: 10.30am to 5.00pm(with 1/2 hr lunch break)

Class Description: This intensive 6 hour class introduces students to working with Art Clay Silver in three forms: Clay, Paste and Syringe. In this workshop students are introduced to the basic skills to work with Art Clay Silver. They learn how to set up work space, texturise , cut mould and extrude clay , re-hydrate dry material, and safely use a kiln/butane torch to fire creations made at home. After using various techniques to finish the pieces, the students then learn to fire the pieces in  a kiln . In the process, they learn about working with metal clay in various stages, and about kiln firing. The class covers various finishing methods including wire brushing, buffing, burnishing, and patina.

Class materials: Includes one package of Silver Clay, one jar of Silver Clay Paste, and a Silver Clay Syringe ,and useful handouts. Each participant will also be given a handy toolkit to take back home.,besides taking home finished pieces of fine silver jewelry.

Maximum number of seats:5 on each day

This class is for anybody who would love to create their own personalised pieces of jewelry from scratch. No previous knowledge of making jewelry or working with metal clay required.

It does open new horizons of creative expression and a new world of learning and evolving all along . It is desirable to sign up for this class if one wishes to continue exploring the creative potential of Art clay by means of attending workshops and classes anywhere in the world , as this will form the base of all further explorations in working with precious metal clay.

This class , however , is essential requirement for anybody desiring to undertake the Art Clay Silver certification course in due time.(In Mumbai,the 3 day intensive Level-1 certification course will be conducted at Bajaj Art Gallery from 12-14th August,2011.)

Seats will be available strictly on a first come first serve basis. Full  payment must be made to confirm enrolment and participation. Please confirm participation at the earliest.If cancellation is made within 3 days of the workshop being conducted,only partial fee will be redunded.

Please also note that mobile phones must be avoided being used and must strictly be kept on silent mode at all times during the workshops.
