Q. What are the various types of trainings being offered?
Art Clay World India offers 3 types of classes in working with Art Clay ,viz., Beginners’ level , Level-1 Certification and Senior Level(Level-2) Certification.

Q. Can you share something about the Art Clay Beginner's Level Class ?
This class teaches the basics of metal clay.This intensive class introduces students to working with Art Clay in three forms: Clay, Paste and Syringe. In this workshop students begin to master working with Art Clay as they learn how to set up work space, texturise ,cut mould and extrude clay , re-hydrate dry material, and safely use a butane torch to fire creations made at home. In the process, they learn about working with metal clay in various stages, and both kiln and torch firing techniques. After using various techniques to finish the pieces, the students then learn to fire the pieces in either a kiln or with a mini torch. The class covers various finishing methods including wire brushing, buffing, burnishing, and patina. In this workshop, students create two original pendants using Art Clay in Clay form. They also learn how to texturise a sheet of clay and how to work with clay coil to make a pendant with a bail.It opens new horizons of creative expression and a new world of learning and evolving all along . It is desirable to sign up for this class if one wishes to continue exploring the creative potential of Art clay by means of attending workshops and classes anywhere in the world , as this will form the base of all further explorations in working with precious metal clay.This class , however , is essential requirement for anybody desiring to undertake the Art Clay certification course in due time.

Q. Can you share something about Art Clay Certification-Level 1 & 2
Art Clay Certification has two levels. Level 1 Certification requires you to have some basic experience with metal clay. It is not meant for beginners. An intense course, it normally run over three days.

In Level 1 certification , a number of projects are completed exactly as they are specified in the Art Clay Beginners Book. The focus is on technique, precision and finishing pieces to a consistently high standard. This course allows no design freedom in the projects. A comprehensive toolkit and all the materials needed including findings are included in the course.

Once Level 1 Certification is passed, students can teach beginners Art Clay classes . Level 1 Certification holders are the Art Clay Level 1 Instructors.

Level 2 Certification covers more advanced techniques and runs over four days. A number of pieces have to be completed during the course. Like the Level 1 Certification, the Level 2 projects must be completed exactly as specified in the Art Clay Advanced Book. A list of all the skills and competencies the instructor is looking for has to be adhered to and this has to be completed successfully for the certification to be awarded. Also, three pieces made after the course are to be submitted and evaluated by a panel before being certified.

Once these steps are passed , the holder is qualified to teach beginners, Level 1 and Level 2 Certification classes. . Holders of Level 2 Certification become Senior Art Clay Instructors.The Level 2 Certification includes a few additional items in the toolkit over and above those offered in Level 1 course and also includes all the materials needed, including findings.

Q. I don’t know anything about Art Clay or Jewelry making. Which training should I undergo?
You should go for Beginner's training which is for 4 hours. Subsequently you can enrol for Level 1 course which is for 3 days and Level 2 which is for 4 days.

You can start using Art Clay products and explore the art afer attending the Beginner's workshop. You will have access to a wider range of products. After attending Level 1 certification, you can hold your own Beginner's level classes and are elegible to apply for our international contests and campaigns . You also get access to our special pool of artists who can mentor you . After attending Level 2 certification, you become a senior level trainer and can mentor other prospective trainers.
Please note that after doing the certification, you are eligible for conducting trainings only within India and the training will not authorize you to conduct trainings outside India

Q. Will I get on -going support after undergoing the training?
You will have access to all resources from Art Clay world and specialized mentor support after undergoing the training. You will also have support to conduct tranings and promote the use of Art clay within India.

Q. Does the cost of training include certification cost as well?
The cost is only for training. For certification, you have to submit your project work pieces along with an additional processing fee. However for qualifying as a senior level instructor, certification is a pre-requiste.

Q. Do I use a kiln or a butane torch?
For beginner's level butane torch will suffice. For advanced level certifications, kiln is required.

Q. What are the mnimum age requiremenst for attending the session?
Anyone above 10 years can go for this training. . No prior experince is required

Q. What is the difference between Beginner,Intermediate & Advance courses?
For beginner's session, student must be 18 years of age and have a passion for jewelry making. No prior experience is required.

For intermediate course, sudent must have experience in woring with both kiln & butane torch. They should be able to readily form beads, work with stringers & other simple decorative techniques with confidece without an insrtuctor.

For advanced level, student had considerable experience on a dual fuel trch & can form variety of bead shapes. Should also have understanding of how to keep a form while decorating a bead, able to make strigers & apply them consistently.

Q. Any special instructions for the worksop
Mobile phones to be kept out of reach. Wear cotton clothing & closed toe shoes. Tie long hair back.

Please also note that mobile phones must be avoided being used and must strictly be kept on silent mode at all times during the workshops.

Q. Will I get any certificate after the training?
Yes , you will get a certificate which is issued on behalf of AIDA Japan, which is the parent organization of Art Clay World international

Q. What is the appx. Shipment time of the products that I order?
15-20 days.

Q. Do I need to follow some special quidelines to source the Art Clay products
Yes, you need to pay 100% advance including shipment. Also you wil not dierctly or indirectly sell or distribute Art Clay series products outside India, nor to anybody in India who is not a member of Art Clay World India and is not your student.
